派拉蒙影业公司成立于1912年5月。创立之初的30年，派拉蒙以众多的明星，高质量的影片和遍布全美的连锁影院，一直坐在好莱坞霸主的宝座上。
派拉蒙在电影制作方面极其注重品质，拥有《教父》《夺宝奇兵》《阿甘正传》《变形金刚》等叫好又叫座的电影。
派拉蒙也是好莱坞当中唯一的卫道者。在其他影业公司变动的情况下（1930年，华纳兄弟就从好莱坞搬到了伯班克；而雷电华在1957年宣布倒闭，哥伦比亚1973年也离开了好莱坞，追随华纳兄弟跑到伯班克，1989年再次搬家，把总部设在了卡弗市；卓别林和大卫·格里菲斯创立的联艺则成了华纳兄弟的电影后期制作基地和录音棚），派拉蒙一直坚守在好莱坞。
代表作品有：《星际迷航》《复仇者联盟》《钢铁侠》《喜剧之王》《胜利大逃亡》等。
七、环球影业
环球影片公司成立于1912年，是全球电影、电视制片厂大型制作商之一。曾一度是好莱坞实力最强的电影公司，但由于创始人卡尔·莱默尔只用自有资金经营公司，而且旗下也没有强有力的连锁影院，到20年代公司开始衰落。
70年代，环球开始焕发新的生机，发行了《大白鲨》《外星人》等影片，以及后来的《侏罗纪公园》。进入21世纪，环球更成为好莱坞最擅长开发续集电影和喜剧片的大公司。2010年，米高梅公司破产，环球影片回归好莱坞头把交椅。

八、迪士尼影业
