★大学时开始搞武术队做教练，收了二十几个徒弟，当中有不少是外国人，一共教了五年！

★Daniel learn Chinese Kung fu when he was 11years old not what you said 12 years old. After Daniel had watched a film called ,少林寺 which was played by Jet Li , he loved it so much and asked her ma for learning Kung fu ,at that time he was just 6 or 7 years old . However, Daniel’s demand for learning Kung fu was refused by his mother. He begged his mother for a long time until his mother had consented to him learning Kung fu when he was 11years old. Daniel’s mother employed a Chinese Kung fu teacher to teach Daniel.

从建筑系到娱乐圈
和很多人一样，年轻新星吴彦祖也很喜欢旅行。但是，这位在美国长大的帅男孩怎么也料不到，5年前的一次旅行完全改变了他的人生。而5年后的今日，他已拍过20部电影，俨然是当今华语影坛最受瞩目的偶像男星之一。
从影只为赚旅费
1997年，刚从奥勒冈大学建筑系毕业不久的吴彦祖，做了几个月的建筑工作后，觉得有点不适应。于是他决定辞去工作，放自己一个长假，好好思索一下未来。当时，他从美国飞来亚洲旅行，第一站是日本东京，第二站是香港。他去香港的主要目的是想亲眼目睹香港回归的历史时刻。虽然在香港他有些亲戚朋友，不用花什么钱，但因为之前在日本花钱太多，所以没多久他就囊中空空了。他当时并不想回美国，因此在朋友的建议和介绍下就当起模特儿赚钱。几个月后，香港导演杨凡在路边看到他的大型海报后，就打电话邀请他主演《美少年之恋》。本来就对电影颇有兴趣的他，抱著试试看的心情去试镜，没想到就此踏上电影这条“不归路”。
网上聊天成爱好
在《想飞》中，吴彦祖饰演一名计算机动画制作者。为此，在拍片前，他还特地跑去动画绘图班上课。对于计算机，美国长大的吴彦祖，自然不会陌生。他在世界各地都有一些朋友，平常大家多以电子邮件的方式联络感情。他幽默地说：“要是没这东西，我大概就没有几个朋友剩下了！”
他还透露，他很喜欢网上聊天。有一段时间，他迷上和朋友们在网上用ICQ聊天，经常整个晚上熬夜Q来Q去，Q到太阳都爬出来了，才不支倒地。不过，现在他已不敢再碰ICQ了，因为怕又会“欲罢不能”，影响隔日的工作。
能文能武演好戏
吴彦祖外表斯文，但可不是一个弱质书生。他很早就开始学习中国功夫。他说，大概是因父亲曾是京剧武生的关系，得到了遗传。11岁时，吴彦祖便拜一名北京艺人为师，1995年时，还专程飞到北京修习武术，对中国功夫极为痴迷。如今，拥有功夫底子，对他的演艺事业也大有帮助。毕竟，允文允武的小生演员并不多见。
近年来，好莱坞狂吹华人武打风，不少香港演员都把这作为去好莱坞发展的好机会，但吴彦祖对此有不同的看法。他低调地说，目前他没有这方面的打算，因为他觉得时机仍不成熟，而且他觉得“与其去好莱坞拍些奇怪的烂角色，为什么不留在香港多演些好电影呢？”
最想到非洲旅行
吴彦祖非常喜欢四处旅行，观看人间百态，平常若有时间休个长假，他便会立刻背起背包，全世界乱跑。问到他若有机会，最想去哪个国家瞧瞧？吴彦祖兴奋地说：“去非洲肯尼亚。现在大概就只剩非洲没去过了。”
5年前，他因旅行而意外成了电影明星，不知未来他的人生旅途上，还会有什么样的奇遇？著实令人好奇。
