1、cross-cutting 原意是“跨领域的”，在电影中指“交叉剪接”
parallel action原意是“并行的XXX诉讼、动作等”，电影中指“平行情节”

3、平行剪辑又可以称为平行式蒙太奇，是指同时并列地叙述两个或两个以上的事件。首先这两个事件一般是同时发生的，但又在不同地点，剪辑时分别穿插两个事件的镜头，主要表现跨越空间的特性。需要注意的是虽然在两地，在两个事件之间又有紧密的关系。 交叉剪辑的开始部分与平行剪辑类似，但交叉剪辑更注重刻画即将交叉的趋向性，例如拍摄一对要赴约的恋人，在各自赴约的途中遇到了各种阻碍。
