罗曼·波兰斯基的《钢琴家》根据波兰籍作曲家/钢琴家Wladyslaw Szpilman自传体小说改编，但波兰斯基在电影中倾注了自己最真切的感情——7岁时曾经有过逃出克拉科夫犹太区的类似经历。
电影的音乐主题则由肖邦的钢琴曲贯穿始终——作为一个钢琴家，肖邦的作品是Szpilman演奏曲目的核心部分。而波兰当代钢琴家Janusz Olejniczak的演奏也深得肖邦的精髓，唯一一首非钢琴曲曲目则是由与Roman Polanski经常合作的作曲家Wojciech Kilar为Szpilman一家迁入犹太区一幕所作的‘Moving to the Ghetto, Oct. 31, 1940’，一种小心翼翼式的悲哀与沉痛；最值得一提的是，这张专辑中还收录了Szpilman本人在1948年华沙录制的肖邦的‘Mazurka Op. 17, No.4’的珍贵演绎版本。（虽然效果不是很好）

Ⅷ 电影钢琴师背景音乐与剧情的感受
背景音乐没多大留意，就是那个德国军官让他弹琴的片段印象比较深刻，就是肖邦第一叙事曲，之所以选这首肖邦的曲子，大概肖邦也是波兰人，当时同样面临祖国沦陷的境况，波兰斯基想用肖邦的音乐来向观众们传达出钢琴师当时的心情：沉痛、悲伤、激愤。还好军官听懂了~~
