故事簡介

超級大海龜"Great A'Tuin" 的背上，站著四頭大象；大象的背上，馱著一個奇異的圓形世界－－人們稱之為 "碟形世界" （荒誕世界/異想世界）。雖然那裡的文化看起來很像人類的中世紀，但他們和我們有著本質的不同。海龜，大象，還有碟形世界裡的人們，他們一起在廣漠的太空中遨遊。

Ankh-Morpork城，"看不見的巫師學院"，學生Rincewind（David Jason扮演）被巫師們集體驅逐。盡管花了四十年的時間來學習魔法，但是靈思風（Rincewind）卻連魔法的皮毛都沒摸到。Rincewind的煩惱並不僅僅在於學不好魔法，還有更大的麻煩在等著他……
