1，真實經歷說。這個猜想認為加州旅館是真實存在的一個酒店，坐落在接近加利福尼亞半島接近聖巴巴拉的地方。老鷹樂隊對該酒店的服務非常不滿，所以專門寫歌抱怨。

2，精神病院說。這個假說認為《加州旅館》是映射了加州州立精神病院的情況（這個醫院位於文圖拉郡）。

thecalling出自電影《真愛至上》。

《真愛至上》實際上是一個短篇故事集，影片講述九個各自獨立發展但是又相互牽連的愛情故事，不同的愛情以不同的方式降臨在不同的人頭上，相同的是它們都發生在距離聖誕節到來前的五個星期。

九個愛情故事當中多數不是編造圓滿的愛情童話，而這些不圓滿最打動人心。而其中英國式的細膩讓生活中小小的細節都值得去依賴和順從。
