★大學時開始搞武術隊做教練，收了二十幾個徒弟，當中有不少是外國人，一共教了五年！

★Daniel learn Chinese Kung fu when he was 11years old not what you said 12 years old. After Daniel had watched a film called ,少林寺 which was played by Jet Li , he loved it so much and asked her ma for learning Kung fu ,at that time he was just 6 or 7 years old . However, Daniel』s demand for learning Kung fu was refused by his mother. He begged his mother for a long time until his mother had consented to him learning Kung fu when he was 11years old. Daniel』s mother employed a Chinese Kung fu teacher to teach Daniel.

從建築繫到娛樂圈
和很多人一樣，年輕新星吳彥祖也很喜歡旅行。但是，這位在美國長大的帥男孩怎麼也料不到，5年前的一次旅行完全改變了他的人生。而5年後的今日，他已拍過20部電影，儼然是當今華語影壇最受矚目的偶像男星之一。
從影只為賺旅費
1997年，剛從奧勒岡大學建築系畢業不久的吳彥祖，做了幾個月的建築工作後，覺得有點不適應。於是他決定辭去工作，放自己一個長假，好好思索一下未來。當時，他從美國飛來亞洲旅行，第一站是日本東京，第二站是香港。他去香港的主要目的是想親眼目睹香港回歸的歷史時刻。雖然在香港他有些親戚朋友，不用花什麼錢，但因為之前在日本花錢太多，所以沒多久他就囊中空空了。他當時並不想回美國，因此在朋友的建議和介紹下就當起模特兒賺錢。幾個月後，香港導演楊凡在路邊看到他的大型海報後，就打電話邀請他主演《美少年之戀》。本來就對電影頗有興趣的他，抱著試試看的心情去試鏡，沒想到就此踏上電影這條「不歸路」。
網上聊天成愛好
在《想飛》中，吳彥祖飾演一名計算機動畫製作者。為此，在拍片前，他還特地跑去動畫繪圖班上課。對於計算機，美國長大的吳彥祖，自然不會陌生。他在世界各地都有一些朋友，平常大家多以電子郵件的方式聯絡感情。他幽默地說：「要是沒這東西，我大概就沒有幾個朋友剩下了！」
他還透露，他很喜歡網上聊天。有一段時間，他迷上和朋友們在網上用ICQ聊天，經常整個晚上熬夜Q來Q去，Q到太陽都爬出來了，才不支倒地。不過，現在他已不敢再碰ICQ了，因為怕又會「欲罷不能」，影響隔日的工作。
能文能武演好戲
吳彥祖外表斯文，但可不是一個弱質書生。他很早就開始學習中國功夫。他說，大概是因父親曾是京劇武生的關系，得到了遺傳。11歲時，吳彥祖便拜一名北京藝人為師，1995年時，還專程飛到北京修習武術，對中國功夫極為痴迷。如今，擁有功夫底子，對他的演藝事業也大有幫助。畢竟，允文允武的小生演員並不多見。
近年來，好萊塢狂吹華人武打風，不少香港演員都把這作為去好萊塢發展的好機會，但吳彥祖對此有不同的看法。他低調地說，目前他沒有這方面的打算，因為他覺得時機仍不成熟，而且他覺得「與其去好萊塢拍些奇怪的爛角色，為什麼不留在香港多演些好電影呢？」
最想到非洲旅行
吳彥祖非常喜歡四處旅行，觀看人間百態，平常若有時間休個長假，他便會立刻背起背包，全世界亂跑。問到他若有機會，最想去哪個國家瞧瞧？吳彥祖興奮地說：「去非洲肯亞。現在大概就只剩非洲沒去過了。」
5年前，他因旅行而意外成了電影明星，不知未來他的人生旅途上，還會有什麼樣的奇遇？著實令人好奇。
