這張專輯並不特別流行，也許是Lunik這個樂隊不太有名，也許是緣於這張專輯封面的不討喜，那一大片銹紅色的渲染，硬化了Jael在一片模糊下蒼白的臉孔，說不清的凌亂感覺，很難讓人與整張專輯中充斥的清靈產生意識上的共鳴。如果不是因為先聽到它的試聽，我定會錯失這張專輯帶給我的驚喜。
每個人對於聽音樂，都會有自己的定義范疇，而我喜歡將它定義為「陪伴」。開心的時候狂放，寂寞的時候感傷，Lunik的歌聲，就是為夜闌獨醒，感受斷崖獨坐般寂廖的人量身打造的，它不是療傷的溫泉湯葯，而僅僅是一份陪伴，一份同病相憐的陪伴。我固執地認為，有些傷，根本無葯可醫，需要的，僅僅是一份淡漠的陪伴罷了。Lunik的歌聲做到了，《Preparing
to
Leave》這張專輯做到了，那個夜晚，我痴傻地聽著，執著著對一份苦痛的迷惑，直到聽完了《The
Rest
Is
Silence》的最後一個音符，才發現心裡的那一點落寞，靜靜地滴下來，倏然消失不見。
Lunik的歌聲是寂廖的，淡淡的情意緩緩流出，但不落於寡淡，音樂的自主性，也許可以讓你聽出歌聲里更多豐潤的情緒渲染，我只是選擇了其中的「冷靜」。女主唱Jael用她清靈的嗓音，恣意地釋放著絲絲的沁心魔力，就象暗夜草叢中的盈舞流螢，輕易地讓人感動。
整張專輯的曲風非常相近，清淡至出塵，去除了所有花哨，只剩下了一份平常，卻銷魂蝕骨。。。
