Garfield, the world's favourite cat, is going continental. Meanwhile Prince is living the simple life of a commoner, hitting the pubs with Jon and Odie, and getting his first taste of the mundane lasagne, and liking all of it.

Uneasy is the head, however, that wears the crown. Lord Dargis, who is next in line to inherit the estate, wants Prince/Garfield out of the picture. Garfield's bigger, better, more purr-fect world is soon turned upside down in this tale of two kitties.

青春期其實是孩子跟父母關系發展中非常關鍵和危險的一個階段。有很多家庭在這一時期增進了解，相處融洽，也有很多家庭雞飛狗跳，不得安寧。更重要的，孩子青春期所接受到的東西，可能會影響到這個家庭，以至於將來他/她自己家庭的安寧和諧。父母和孩子直到生命的盡頭才能捐棄前嫌，重歸於好的例子並非一個兩個。

《Chicken Little》便是試圖探討青春期孩子與父母（在這個片子裡面，僅是父親——因此也可看作是單親家庭）溝通交流的問題。故事的主人公名叫Chicken Little，直譯便是雞小小，一個很Q的名字，做字幕的人很有幽默感。有一天，他被隱形外星飛船的一塊底板砸到，他覺得是天塌下來一塊，於是勇敢的拉響了警鍾。當然，這樣瘋狂的舉動給鎮上的居民造成了很大的麻煩，於是成了眾矢之的，最糟糕的是，他的父親並不相信他，因為鄰居們給他的巨大壓力。青春期是瘋狂的，但是雞小小的父親並不了解這一點，他最在乎的是別人對他兒子的看法。如果別人認同雞小小，他會覺得由衷的驕傲，但是如果別人不認同雞小小，他會告訴雞小小再也別這么干。這是父母對子女的期許，同時也是對人性（？）的抹殺。
